I am currently a Director of Engineering within a major publically traded company. I have some free time occasionally and I have previously tutored. I have always enjoyed working with and mentoring others, especially those who are new to the profession and eager to learn. I have over 20 years of real-world design, test and project management experience in the automotive and transit industries. I have been a subject matter expert in Design for Failure Modes Effects Analysis (DFMEA) for 10 years at this time. Furthermore, I have been certified in problem solving and Design for Six Sigma. Lean concepts are second hand to me as well as public speaking. I am willing to share what I have learned as a compliment to your current academic curriculum. I have interviewed many candidates over the last 10 years and can also provide career and job search counseling for those about to graduate.
